Relocation support for Americans in Lisbon
Avoid costly mistakes when moving to Lisbon.
Moving to Lisbon looks simple online. Living here is different.
Paperwork is only one part of your move. The real stress comes from daily friction after arrival — hills you didn't expect, commutes that don't work, neighborhoods that look right in photos, but feel wrong in person. That's where people lose weeks. Often months.
COMMON EXPENSIVE ERRORS
Picking a neighborhood that doesn’t match your mobility and routine
Underestimating hills, stairs, and walking time
Misjudging commute reality on public transport

Bio
My name is Elizabeth Levesque. I grew up in New England, and in 2022, I moved from Massachusetts to Lisbon, Portugal, fulfilling a childhood dream of living and thriving outside the US. The journey hasn’t always been easy, but having the support of locals and expats made all the difference in my new life. I love helping others navigate their path with confidence and ease.
I arrived alone, but I’m a proud mother of two wonderful adult daughters who live in the US. Moving abroad meant leaving behind the closeness of family, and I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t hard. Missing your loved ones is a real part of living abroad, but I’ve learned it can be managed through open communication, intentional visits, and finding ways to stay connected despite the distance.
While I miss them deeply, I’ve also discovered how to embrace the beauty of this new chapter while cherishing the relationships that mean the most.
I’m here to share my experiences, answer your questions, provide resources, and make your transition to Lisbon as smooth and exciting as possible. Whether you’re just exploring the idea or have already packed your bags, I’d love to help you create a life you love.
Please consider me your guide to help ease your transition and feel at home in this beautiful city.
Obrigada!

Client Reviews
Liz is Awesome!! She helped me learn the subway and train system in Portugal. I appreciated the time she took to explain some of the cultural differences, which stores to shop for the things I enjoy, and some areas I might enjoy living in Lisbon. Most of all, I appreciate her sharing her knowledge with patience and kindness.
